Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy
Introduction
Welcome to Money & Expense Tracker. We built this App with one guiding principle: your financial data belongs entirely to you. We have no interest in collecting, storing, or accessing it.
This Privacy Policy describes how the App handles data. The core message is simple — we do not collect your data, we have no servers that receive it, and we have zero access to your financial records at any time.
No Login or Account Required
Money & Expense Tracker requires no registration, no login, no email address, and no account of any kind. Every feature of the App is available immediately after installation — no sign-up, no form, no identity verification.
Because no account is created, there is no password to forget, no profile to manage, and no personal data tied to you in any system we control.
What Data the App Uses
The App only works with information you actively type in yourself:
- Account names you create (e.g., "January", "Cash", "Business", "Savings")
- Transaction amounts, dates, and descriptions (particulars) you enter
- Account categories you select (Personal, Business, Cash, Bank Account, etc.)
This data is created by you, for you. It never leaves your device unless you personally and voluntarily choose to back it up to your own Google Drive account.
The App contains no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK, and no tracking library of any kind.
Local Device Storage
All data you enter is stored exclusively on your Android device in a sandboxed local database. This means:
- No internet connection is required to use any core feature
- No data is transmitted to our servers — we have no servers that receive user data
- Other apps on your device cannot access your financial data
- Uninstalling the App permanently and completely deletes all your data
- You can also wipe data via: Android Settings → Apps → Money & Expense Tracker → Clear Data
Google Drive Backup (Optional)
The App includes an optional, manual backup feature that lets you save your data to your own Google Drive account. This is entirely opt-in — it is never automatic and never runs without your explicit action.
- You tap the cloud/upload icon in the App to trigger a backup
- Your data is uploaded directly to your personal Google Drive account — not to our servers
- We have no access to your Google Drive account or the backup files stored there
- You can view, download, or delete the backup file directly in Google Drive at any time
- To restore, download the backup from your Google Drive inside the App
What We Never Do
For complete transparency, here is what we never do with your data:
- Collect your personal information
- Require you to create an account
- Store your data on our servers
- Sell your data to anyone
- Share your data with third parties
- Track your location
- Use advertising or tracking SDKs
- Access your contacts or photos
- Send your data to any external server
- Show ads based on your usage
- Read your financial records remotely
- Require internet for core features
No Age Restriction
Money & Expense Tracker is open to users of all ages — there is no minimum age requirement. Because the App:
- Requires no personal information
- Has no account or login system
- Collects zero data about users
- Has no social features
- Stores data only on the device
- Contains no ads or external links
- Has no in-app purchases
- Shows no inappropriate content
…it is completely safe for users of all ages, including young children. Parents can be confident the App collects no information about their children whatsoever.
Third-Party Services
The only third-party service the App may interact with is:
- Google Drive API — Only when you voluntarily tap the backup button. Used solely to save a backup file to your own Google Drive. We receive nothing from this interaction.
The App does not include any advertising networks, analytics platforms, social media SDKs, payment processors, or any other third-party SDK that accesses user data.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date above and post the new policy within the App (Settings → Privacy Policy). Because we have no way to contact users — since we collect no contact information — we encourage you to review this policy from time to time.
Your continued use of the App after any updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
